Pink Wednesday feat. Princess Disco

I am so happy today. I received a very lovely giveaway prize from Kelly of Nails for the Sake of Sanity courtesy of Glimmer by Erica. It was really hard to pick one since Erica has a lot of pretty polishes on her Etsy Shop. So I asked my husband's help and he picked this pretty and girly glitter polish for me called "Princess Disco".

  • Color Description: Clear base packed with magenta/fuchsia micro glitter base, different sizes of glitter and some holo square glitters.
  • Formula: The clear base is not thick so it glides on the nails smoothly. I just have to dab the glitter s prior to brushing to achieve even coat.
  • Finish: Glitter
  • Coat(s): 1 thick coat over Dance Baby by China Glaze
  • Drying Time: Fast
I'm really glad my husband picked Princess Disco as Erica described it as princess party in a bottle, indeed it is. It was so perfect that my mani I wore yesterday is pink so I just have to layer the glitter over it. I really love it, you can't go wrong with this polish. So lovely and girly and at the same time perfect for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Let me know your thoughts about my post for today in the comments below. Love ya!

Dance Baby

Hello lovely readers!

I have another swatch for you, this time it's from China Glaze "Dance Baby" from Electrop Collection Spring 2012.

  • Color Description: Pale Bubblegum Pink
  • Formula: It is excellent almost opaque in one coat. It glides smoothly and evenly on my nails, it even looks glossy when dry without top coat.
  • Finish: Creme
  • Coat(s): 2 for full opacity
  • Drying Time: Fast
I really love this color. So sweet, charming, and very girly. I really love everything about this polish great formula with very good brush. I didn't have a hard time during the application, I can't say anything bad about this polish. If you don't have this beauty on  your stash you better get one.

Let me know your thoughts about my post for today in the comments below. Love ya!

Let it Shatter

Hello ladies!

I've been so impatiently waiting for my order I can't wait to get it tomorrow hopefully. What I have for you today is something that I'm not really a big fan of. This is the only one that I have in my stash that I don't like that much. It's a shatter polish from OPI it's called Super Bass from the Nicki Minaj Collection.

I used:

Base Color - Pink Friday by OPI
Shatter - Super Bass by OPI
Top Coat - Seche Vite

I just thought of giving it a try so that it won't stay in my stash unused. I think I kinda like it a little bit. I'm not just a big fan of shatters/crackles.

There you have it guys.

Fishtail Braids Attempt

Hey guys!

I haven't been so productive with my posts lately, our internet service have been acting up and it just gets on my nerves. So it has been a movie time almost everyday. So what I have for today is my first attempt of fishtail braids that is so trendy nowadays.

I used:

Base Color - Kleancolor Metallic Pink
Braids - OPI Pink Friday
              Kleancolor Metallic Pink
              Spoiled Correction Tape

It's a little bit decent, the lines are not straight at all did it with free hand. So I'm a little bit happy about it.

Girls off topic, I have to share this movie that we've seen the other day. If you're husband and boyfriend haven't seen this movie yet, I recommend that you should mention this to them. This is so far the best action packed movie I've seen in years it's an Indonesian action martial arts movie called "The Raid" the American title is The Raid: Redemption. I'm sure they're going to love this movie and if you're into brutal action movies as well, this movie is for you.

Until next time lovelies :)

My First Gradient

How are you guys doing today? Today my post is about my first gradient mani which it turned out to be pretty, the gradient wasn't really that perfect but not bad either, but I think I pulled it off with a little help of the holo foil strip that I bought when I was still in the Philippines. I will tell you more about it, as we go along.

Okay so first things first, my base color and gosh I want to smack myself from taking photos of this color, it's a Hot Neon Pink polish from Ruby Kisses HD it's just so hard to photograph using my iPhone. I really need to get a good camera one day. So anyway, I tried really hard to get good photos but I don't think the photos below are really true to color. Let me show you what I'm talking about.

2 coats

So then, I decided to make a gradient mani instead. I used OPI Did It On Em to achieve the gradient  look over my base color. I kind of managed to execute the idea, however it wasn't really successful I don't know, I just let you be the judge. But there's something extra, to make the look pretty special I remember that I have stuff that I use for scrapbooking and I thought it would be cool to apply it on my nails even though they're not intended for nail art but I did an experiment somehow.

So that 's my finish mani right there. Well I think you know that it's self-explanatory how I did the whole thing right? Well guys what do you think of this mani? Do you want to try to use a scrapbooking material as nail art? Share me your thoughts and if did this mani inspired you somehow. Thanks for reading this post.

Retro Green + Holo Pinky Glitter

Hello guys!

I'm excited to share with you my mani for today. I guess I won't be writing as much coz I feel kinda lazy :P

I used:

Iriscolor Pinky Glitter & Kleancolor Retro Green

So first up my base color, Kleancolor's Retro Green and I have to say I really had a hard time taking pictures just to get the shade of green from this one. It always look navy blue on the pictures but anyway, it is a dark blue green color and when it hits the light you can see the dark green shimmer. I guess you know what I'm talking about right. And what I really love about this polish, it is a one-coat wonder.

Then I layered it with Pinky Glitter, and I must tell you this polish surprised me. I really love the holo effect it is perfect with the base color that I picked. Let me show you with the pictures below.

This is so far my favorite mani that I did. What do you think guys? Love it or hate it? Let me know.

Pink Friday + Frenzy

everyone, I'm back! I was suppose to post this yesterday but I wasn't feeling well and I'm glad I feel better today. I really like the weather since yesterday it's cooler than the usual I love summer but I don't like when it gets really hot. Anyway my mani that I did yesterday is a free-hand funky french mani.

What I used:

Base Color - OPI Pink Friday
French Tip - Iriscolors Frenzy
OPI Pink Friday & Iriscolors Frenzy

I really love Pink Friday the color is so sweet I love that it is creme. OPI has a great formula, I'm not a fan of the brush though since I don't have a flat nail bed or I guess I need more practice using their wide flat brush. And for Frenzy I love the pink and blue glitter so cute but I don't like this brand at all because the base is so thick and it has a horrible smell, I'm not going to buy this brand ever again.

Well I might wear this mani for two days or more it depends, sometimes I get lazy doing my nails. What do you think of the mani? I would love to hear from you and thanks for reading my post, until next time. Love y'all!
